SATUC Success Stories

Lives already changed by SATUC. SATUC does more than just help our children in fact, we have already had some huge success stories. At the cups so far, we will invite top football scouts to witness the skills of the stars of tomorrow in the next SATUC World Cup. As previously mentioned, we do not see our children as victims of the SATUC children have joined famous and renowned football clubs in their countries through the SATUC World Cup. Their lives have changed, and they have become positive factors in their societies. This is all thanks to Sheikha’s idea on how to create stars through her Non-Profit Organization where many governments support her through her journey of making children’s dreams come true and to reveal their talents by having professional footballers and stars support them around the world.

Months of careful preparation led up to one of the biggest charitable events 2015 SATUC World Cup Cairo has seen: 8 teams, 64 players, and 1 goal. And what a success it was. SATUC was delighted and honored to host such a great tournament, which helped so many underprivileged children. As well as the hosts Egypt, Algeria, England, Ivory Coast, Mauritania, Morocco, the Philippines, and Syria. They came to Egypt for 8 days from 27th August to 3rd September. SATUC’s smooth organization conveyed a highly positive impression of Children many of the guests praised the charity and the role of Sheikha Al Thani.

In 2018 we held the second edition of our 2018 SATUC World Cup in a different continent, in Europe, more specifically in Sofia, Bulgaria. We had 12 teams from all over the world as follows: Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Indonesia, Liberia, Syria, Iraq, Morocco, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Nigeria. We have also organized football camps on 5 continents, sending a clear message to children: that through football training, effort, and dedication they can change their lives, as well as avoid falling into criminality or drug use.

Indeed, SATUC has been able to see the flower of their hard work through the success of many of their children in many football clubs. One of them, Iliman Ndiaye, who was one of our 2TR Football players in the SATUC World Cup in Egypt in 2015, joined Sheffield United for promotion into the premier league. He became a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for EFL Championship club Sheffield United. Iliman Ndiaye, one of many children who dream of an opportunity, took it and is starting to become the type of person he would look up to. Through the SATUC World Cup, he was able to learn discipline, make new friends, and become a more experienced football player which led to what he is today.

Simo Doghmi T-shirt NO: 4 is one of the kids who trained and played with the help of the SATUC led by Abdelaziz El Idrissi Bouderbala, the former Moroccan footballer. Ed-Doghmi, who was one of our Morocco footballers led by Aziz Bouderbala players in the SATUC World Cup in Egypt in 2015, joined the Association Sportive des Forces Armées Royales – ASFAR AS FAR team and signed with the Ecole Rahal de Football Casablanca a professional contract for 5 years now he joined Dibba Al Hisn Emiratis.

SATUC Mauritania players, Alassane Diop, and Oumar M’Bareck, Alassane Diop, who was one of our Mauritania team in the SATUC World Cup in Egypt in 2015, joined Amadou Diop to play with Asac Concorde in Division 1, this team is number 6 in the standings for 2023. Oumar M’Bareck joined FC Nouadhibou and signed a contract with them.

SATUC Nigarien player, Richard Odoh, known as R. Odoh, was nominated as the best goalkeeper in the 2018 SATUC World Cup Bulgaria, Sofia, hosted by the Bulgarian football union, is now the goalkeeper of Nigerian U17, also, Arafat Hussain, T-shirt NO: 7 who was nominated as the best scorer in the 2018 SATUC World Cup, joined the Nigerian Football John Utaka Federation.

Some children from Egypt were chosen to play for the Egyptian National Team in the Tokyo Tournament.
